Toddler Pointing
What activities make your child develop vocabulary skills?

I am looking for new ideas for 24 months of my daughter. I read it much, and I am constantly stressing the words / objects / people / ways, we sing our ABCs and count, but I wonder what other parents at this age? My daughter is in the center with his knowledge of words, but I want to do everything possible to encourage more. She babbles a lot and although its Pedi said it's normal, I want to ensure that is not far behind * * below (I have a nephew who is very late for his age). Do not try to build a super genius, but I want more ideas for other parents please!

Make sure you play a little sound of a very wide range of books. The only thing that many parents do not notice it rarely speaks with young children in complete sentences is true when you think about it. If you have in your library of books and documentaries on art, history of religions, some medical books, a couple Gardening, a volume of letters of Lorenzo, and a bit of Shakespeare, read a paragraph of their time period or when you feel like one of them, with much emotion in his voice that is interesting. Now I have a son who has had four years and now has a habit of running to the library of every meal and bath time to choose a book that I want to have read. . Maybe I was a bit too far, but the love of reading and language is certainly present. And of course, make a weekly salary to go to your local library to buy a new selection of books for each of your weeks. Take some of those she chooses, but probably will be too old for it or not, so he has experience to take their own decisions. Good luck and may heaven smile, to actively promote the understanding of their native son.
