need some ideas for indoor activities for young children?

My husband and I decided not to make the transition to digital and so we have no television. Although I can not think of many things that look bored my two young children. Indoor Activities What are good to keep them entertained while the TV is off? Books and bubbles can not keep their attention for so long, and it's too hot outside for them to be absent for a long time (we live in Las Vegas). Ideas?
