Can you leave babies in rocker chairs most of the day?
My newborn twin girls are 5 weeks old tomorrow. They fuss and cry a lot in their cribs but are calmer in their new vibrating rocker chairs (Fisher Price Newborn to Toddler Portable Rocker) and we have been putting them in the rockers a lot. Most of the day.
But it occurred to me that if we leave them there too long, how will their growing bodies develop properly? is it bad for their dvelopment, their posture, etc..? It isn’t a flat surface like their crib, they are propped up when they are in it. So I wonder if it’s a good idea to leave them in it for long periods of time?
Make sure you’re taking them out of the rockers at times to let them stretch out on the floor or in their crib. That way their joints are getting the exercise needed and they aren’t consistently being slouched in those rockers, it’s not comfy for anyone’s spine. =)
