The AAP has the following position on children watch TV:
"Children of all ages are constantly learning new things. The first 2 years of life are particularly important on growth and brain development of your child. Meanwhile, children need interaction, but positively with other children and adults. Too much television can negatively affect early brain development. This is especially true at younger ages, when learning to talk and play with others is so important. Until research is conducted on the effects of television on very young children, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommends no television for children under 2 years or less. For older children, the Academy recommends no more than 1 to 2 hours per day, nonviolent programs. "
However, the AAP has clearly ignored there are a variety of educational videos available today that were made specifically for babies. These videos teach their children the wonderful things that parents often can not teach their children. For example, babies are able to watch videos that expose them to foreign languages, reading, and a variety other themes.
These videos can be very beneficial to the intellectual development of babies in small doses. True, I do not suggest that babies should see cartoons during the long hours, but for your baby to watch TV in controlled amounts of quality programming in my opinion, is not harmful for babies under two. After all, the cartoons were not designed for small babies first.
Many babies are attracted over the course of television. Television can be a powerful tool for parents to use properly. A recent study indicates that children in first year 5000 television viewing hours. Imagine if parents use television to teach their children all sorts of wonderful things about animals, language, history, and reading.
Television is optimized for babies when it comes to an adult. It encourages dialogue between them and helps babies gain more experience. However, parents who feel strongly against watching television must do what is best for their families.
Note that, as parents, Sometimes we have to take a shower or preparing a meal. In situations that video how are you 30 minutes can be your salvation to get the job done.
