How can I keep my kids from running into street?
I have 3 toddlers abnd 2 are autistic. We live right next to a very busy street. We rent and are unable to have fenced in yards. We take the kids in the backyard to play sometimes and here recently they will take off and run right into the street. I have been told that autistic children have no fear of things that can be dangerous. I am constantly worried they will get hurt. I watch them very carefully but they will run away from me in the blink of an eye. Should I just keep them inside and not take them out?
Take them to a park without a busy street next to it. That way they can freely run about without a problem. If you don’t want to do that, find activities for them to do while you are in the house. Basically just take them to an open less dangerous space. Good luck!
